If they make that trade, Hamilton should immediately move to center in the minors because that's where we'll need him in 2014

FSO showing and Chris Welsh talking about the Phillies scout, Charlie Kerfelt (sp) that rolenmvp mentions.

I hope Walt is not interested in Pence. We already have one of those, his name is Ludwick/Frazier

Need a centerfielder who gets on base.

Why not Phillips leading off and Pence hitting cleanup?

Offensively, I think it works. Defensively, I don't know who plays centerfield amongst Ludwick, Pence and Bruce.

Re: phillies scout in attendance....

Exactly. It weakens the defense. If they want Phillips to lead off they can do that when Votto's back. Just put Ludwick at clean up. Compare Pence's numbers to what Ludwick is doing.

Hunter Pence >>> Ludwick. It's a small sample size with ludwick, plus if Bruce could play CF Ludwick could stay in LF, Pence in RF. Pence is just a solid player, and numbers would get even better at GABP. I'd be ecstatic if they could pull that deal off.

Re: phillies scout in attendance....

I should've said hot streak, not small sample size. It just worries me that he could go cold like Gomes did, and if they plan on him playing like this, there is no turning back after the deadline.
