per Fay on Twitter: " Votto just hit back-to-back pitches 400-plus in early BP. I'm no doctor, but I'll play on Twitter: He's close."

Who wants to be the first to bemoan Ludwick not being in the lineup?

I don't see Paul going. I think the clock is going to strike 12 on Cairo.

Re: 8/7/2012 Reds at Brew Crew
Paul definitely extended his Reds run with his pinch hit RBI last night.
As for Ludwick, of course it's disappointing whenever he's not playing but obviously Dusty knows more about his overall health and effectiveness than we do.

Re: 8/7/2012 Reds at Brew Crew
For whatever reason, Ludwick usually sits one game during each series. Dusty feels a need to rest him often, whether it's health, fatigue, whatever. Anyway, need a win tonight.

Once Votto is back, I won't mind it to get Frazier/Rolen more AB's. But for Paul? |
