Our Offense
You cannot deny that our offense is questionable at the very least. I know Dusty got lucky with the 10 game winning streak, but you have to adapt especially when you are on a 5 game losing streak that hasn't garnered more than 3 runs since Burnett dominated us. Not to mention 4 of those 5 losses are to losing teams and 2 of the 5 are to pitchers who should not be even in the bullpen.
As lucky as Dusty has gotten this year, I think it is time to switch up the current lineup. Cairo should just ride the bench for the rest of the year, and Valdez should never been used in close games. I am sorry since this has been discussed extensively. My lineup: 2B Phillips (can get on base fairly well and has the best average as leadoff) C Hanigan (one of the best OBS on the team) LF Ludwick (can't deny he could drive in some runs if he has RISP) 1B Frazier (guy can do it all) RF Bruce (plug him in and hope he gets hot or just assume an 0 for 4 night) SS Cozart (could hit better when not pressured in leadoff spot) CF Stubbs (just hope he has a good night like the ones he had in the streak) 3B Paul (is there any better option for third?) P Anyone know any minor leaguers that are worth calling up? Anyone of them could be hitting better than Cairo right now.
