According to the Mets board, that bracelet was a friendship bracelet made by his daughters for his climb of Mt. Kilamanjaro. He has been wearing it all season. Not sure why here in the middle of August the umps would do something about it. They speculate that someone from the Reds planted that seed before the game.

I hope it wasn't something that came from us. That's the kinda stupid stuff we've complained that other teams do.
If it were before the game I think the umps would have had him take it off before throwing a pitch tho. |
