Just an odd but noteworthy stat: Ludwick has had a power outage the last 10 days since homering twice in a game against the Cubs. No extra base hits or HR's, but he's still raised his average by several points with all his singles.

BABIP has become a religion and if you don't strike guys out, any success is passed off as a byproduct of luck.

Guys like Cueto, or Broxton in the bullpen, etc., are successful not just because of velocity but because of movement and being able to keep the ball down.

Specifically, though, you're right Cueto has become everything you want in an ace other than not striking out 9/9.
