Fay is an incredible, incredible hack. Just said on twitter that calling up Hamilton is going to burn an option on him, which just isn't true. I don't understand how this guy has a job.

Great goodness. Are these players so unaware of their environment that they are swinging at everything? Heisey is so frustrating, but the last two innings has been total frustration

idk, a fair number of us were under the impression of the same thing. The option thing is a little complex.

It's fine to not understand it. But don't be a reporter with 20,000 followers and misinform people.

Calling him up does not burn an option. Sending him to the minors next year if he's on the 40 man will burn an option. The way he originally reported it, it sounded as if calling him up would burn an option this year and next, which isn't true.

If he's swinging at balls then yes, that's a problem. If the pitcher's on, it's going to be a three-pitch atbat anyway.
