I bet you Cueto is droolin' with that lineup.... He is used to seeing Cario and Valdez's names show up on his lineup card....

Cueto in Day Games this year is 11-0 with a 1.89 ERA in 13 starts and 89 ip.

Cloud made his first MLB start the other day after a very impression season in the minors.

The right-hander is 12-1 with a 2.35 ERA in 22 starts this season with Lehigh Valley, and 15-1 overall in the Minor Leagues this season. He has allowed 105 hits, 38 walks and struck out 93 in 142 innings. Cloyd does not have great stuff -- his fastball is in the 85- to 89-mph range -- but he has been good enough to be named the International League's Most Valuable Pitcher.

His only loss did come in a day game FWIW.

The loss came at the hands of the Louisville Bats, led by a grand slam by Neftali Soto.

With the AAA pitcher in his second start, I'd have loved seeing Gregarius get the start today. Would have been a good intro to the majors.

Totally forgot about the early Labor Day start, I was wondering why lineups were already posted.

I wish I could find the perfect one that defines my posts, but I'm just a ramblin man.
