I don't know if you are joking or not, but Valdez indeed should have bunted.

Not joking at all. Valdez is a good bunter, and a terrible hitter. No brainer since Leake is such a good hitter.

Actually a double for Phillips as he went to 2nd as the ball went off Barmes's glove

Wild pitch and 2 runs score. 4-1 Reds!

the first run scores on the wild pitch. The catcher than threw the ball to the pitcher covering home. It hit the runner for an error.

Then we agree.

This fellow Navarro has hit pretty well for the Reds.

Teams often use only 11 pitchers in the playoffs. I could see the Reds going with three catchers so Navarro can be used as a pinch hitter.

If the Reds are going to have an extra position player, not sure I can think of a better idea than keeping Navarro to pinch hit and Mes to be the backup catcher.

Reds should bring in John Rocker to pitch batting practice to Phillips before each game

I would definitely put Navarro on the roster. He has postseason experience. He had a really good postseason for Tampa Bay when they went to the World Series.

No more Stubbs.

This is going to sound horrible, but I root for Drew Stubbs to get out every at bat. The worse he plays before October, the less they'll use him (I hope). Heisey deserves his job.
