Reds v. Cubbies Thursday 9/20

Xavier Paul 7
Miguel Cairo 3
Henry Rodriguez 4
Todd Frazier 5
Chris Heisey 9
Denis Phipps 8
Ryan Hanigan 2
Didi Gregorius 6
Johnny Cueto RHP

Win or lose, this one will be interesting to say the least.

I just imagine Chris Speier coming into the clubhouse today saying "you get the day off, and you get the day off, and you get the day off, and even you, you get the day off"

I like it. Gives me a much better chance of seeing a clinch on Sat or Sun when I got tickets!

Amazing, why not play him after the good game last night? He needs confidence going into the playoffs.

Wait, we're now complaining that Stubbs is NOT in the lineup?

Re: Reds v. Cubbies Thursday 9/20

Here are my questions about today's line up
Why is Paul leading off?
Why is Cairo batting 2nd?
Shouldn't Heisey be leading off?
Shouldn't Gregorious be higher in the order than Cairo?
Why is Phipps even in the lineup?

Stubbs should not be on the 25 man roster much less starting in the playoffs

Re: Reds v. Cubbies Thursday 9/20

We're going up against a pitcher who has thrown five innings all season...and given up 14 hits. Even this lineup has a decent chance to sratch across a few runs. And we've got Cueto going up against the second worst offensive team in the National League. If we get the Cueto we've grown accustomed to (especially in day games), we are conceding nothing.

I think this is a great way to give most of our regulars a day off in one shot...and still win ourselves a ballgame.

Speier made out that lineup. Or maybe Kelch. Centerfielder hitting 6th. Shortstop 8th. Catcher 7th.
