Re: Postseason Scoreboard watching....
I was thinking the same thing. Plus, the Giants get the last 2 games at home. I'd have to think that's a big plus. And if nothing else, it gives the Tigers more rest and a chance to setup their rotation the way they want for the World Series.

Double that, and I might start to relax.

Great AB by Sandoval there; who is Carpenter going to blame for this?

Kozma. And his son.

Re: Postseason Scoreboard watching....
Well, McCarver blamed Carpenter for even throwing Kung Fu Panda a strike, with a base open. Descalso dived and couldn't come up with it, and Freese and Kozma both bobbled chances earlier.
I say he blames the defense. I'd pay good money right now to see Chris Carpenter lose it and start screaming at one of his teammates right on national TV, thus cementing his image forever. Prissy Carpenter. |

Thus Giants are winning. I'm happy.

You are down 4-1 in the 2nd inning, and he complains that Carpenter threw a strike to Panda with a base open and the MVP on deck? Hindsight managing to be sure. |

I hope the Giants do to the Cardinals what they did to the Reds. It won't make the pain of the NLDS collapse go away, but it will make me happy to know St. Louis fans share our pain.

Re: Postseason Scoreboard watching....
It's going to be a boring World Series regardless of who wins this. Despite the talent on the Tigers, there is just something about that ballpark, that uniform... I can't define it other than to say that I just don't enjoy watching Tiger baseball. I know it makes no sense whatsoever, but they have always just put me to sleep...
And, from the NL, I wish they both could lose horribly and be seen crying like infants on television. That is no way to enjoy baseball. |

If San Francisco comes back, it would be quite remarkable to come back to win 3 in a row in 2 consecutive series'. Lohse vs. Cain should be good. Cain hasn't been great, but he's due for a good start and Lohse is due for a bad one. Go Giants. |

I don't care for McCarver's analysis or color commentary, but I do enjoy his story telling. They ought to get him off doing games, and have him in some sort of venue where he can just reminisce. |
