agree with that --- no Stubbs if Baker is on the bench

Well, maybe not the Giants...lol....they love it...at least, right now...

I thought Dusty managed game 1 to perfection. Game 2 was a blowout. Game 3 we gave up like what, 1 hit in 9 innings? Players gotta win that game.

Yesterday was a mess by not getting Leake sooner, but the Cueto injury didn't help matters at all. Today was up and down, slow to get Latos but decent use of the bench.

Bottom line, the players needed to win game 3.

That I'll agree with, this is also why I'm afraid of who else we might get. At least 6 months of the year the Reds game are meaningful. I'm afraid the will hire Boone, Miley, Narron, or some of the other jokers we have watched since trader jack.

I don't know about tony...he's been known to run players off. I would rather have Phillips than La Russa.

Who would want a manager that has brought a team to the playoffs twice in three years after sucking forever. Guaranteed they win 150 games without Baker. Just to be safe need to get rid of Hatcher and Lopez as well from the coaching staff.

Good teams make their own luck, folks.

Was it luck that we had a passed ball in game 3?
Was it luck that we didn't walk the #8 hitter to force Bochy's hand and set up the all around force in game 3?
Was it luck that we left Leake out there to get shelled in Game 4?
Was it luck that we've left a small army on the bases in Games 4 and 5?
Was it luck that we just blew a 2-0 lead with 3 home games?
Was it luck that Pagan made a great play on Navarro's bloop?
Was it luck that Latos' immaturity showed its' ugly head at the worst time and he gave up a Grand Slam to Buster Posey?

Nope. Plain and simple, the Giants beat us. Or maybe we beat ourselves. But, it wasn't luck. It was poor baseball.

Getting to the playoffs has more to do with finally having a decent GM than having Dusty. Baker isn't horrible, but he's far from a championship caliber manager. Can't close the deal.
