Lohse was a Mozeilak hire, not a Jockety hire. with cinci's payroll, I think that would be a big mistake. I'm guessing Lohse gets some where around 5/75 mil and whoever gives it to him is really going to regret it.

Apologies for resurecting this old dog, but for some reason I'm unable to start a new thread, 'tho I can post on others.
 On Lohse: He certainly will not join the Reds as the staff is rock solid, in my book. I look for a 100 win season. The subtraction of Stubbs and Rolen alone will add 10 wins! Maybe more. With 1 week left Lohse is STILL un-signed. Just amazing. What do the teams know that I don't? How can a guy go 17 and 3 and be totally ignored? On the Cardinals: They may very well lead the league in runs scored, but the starting rotation is a horrible mess. No Carpenter, no Lohse, Garcia coming off a terrible year even BEFORE the injury...Waino clearly deminished and Westbrook still Westbroke. The 5th starter most likely will be a rookie, Miller. Reds win the Central in a WALK. |
