Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
Here's Mine:
1. Reds win over 100 games and runaway with the division. 2. Bruce finally puts together a consistently good season and puts up a .315 BA, 40 Hrs and 125 RBI's. 3. Chapman wins 16 games while Broxton saves 40.

That third one isn't very bold. SS always bat 2nd in the Dusty system.

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
First prediction is that the pitching numbers will decline a bit, due to poorer outfield defense and also due to the law of averages catching up with them.
Second is that the offense will improve rather dramatically, particularly against RHP. Third, I predict that in 2013 and 2014 Reds will be on national TV much more than in the past decade. Last edited by Kc61; 12-14-2012 at 01:26 PM. |

Choo, Cozart, Votto, Ludwick, Bruce, Phillips, Frazier, Catcher. Not a bad lineup. Won't happen, BP will hit second. |

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
1. No one dates Dusty's daughter.
2. The Reds are losing 1-0 after 3 innings on opening day; the game thread is suicidal complaining about Jocketty's moves and Dusty's failure to use the lineup correctly. 3. The Yankees and Angels miss the playoffs, the Reds and the Royals do not.

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
1 Choo's ability to play CF becomes a non-issue, as Choo-Ludwick-Bruce are rarely all healthy at the same time, leaving the remaining two to man the corners
2 Chris Heisey gets a ton of playing time in CF in the first half 3 Billy Hamilton struggles both with the bat and the glove in his first exposure to AAA 4 Walt ends up making a deadline deal to plug the hole in CF 5 Reds fail to win the NL Central but wind up winning the World Series as huge underdogs thanks to the wildcard |

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
1) Reds finish with only 85 wins, as there is no Astros to beat up on.
2) The strikeout is no longer called a Stubbs, but is renamed a Choo. 3) Champman's save total and win total end up being the same. |

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
I'd be surprised if Votto even lead the team in homers...

Re: 3 Bold Predictions for 2013
1) Jack Hannahan starts more games at 3B than Todd Frazier
2) Aroldis Chapman's ERA as a starter is over 4.00 3) J.J. Hoover is the team's best relief pitcher
