Daniels was a lifetime 138 OPS+ bat. (This, after he really screwed up his knee in 1989, IIRC.) He couldn't field-- nor did he particularly want to.
But if Winker comes even close Daniels offensively and is a league average RF (as he profiles to be), he'll be a stud. For comparison's sake, Jay Bruce has been a 118 OPS+ bat for two years running.
