There's no comparing the futility of the Cubs to that of any other franchise. You were alive for the last Reds WS victory -- there can't be more than 1 or 2 people in Chicago that can make the same claim

You are correct but as you note:
championships matter- 22 years and counting and 1 in 37 years is not a great track record.

And yet, the Reds have won 5 WS since the Cubs last won, ranking behind only the Yanks, Cards, A's, Red Sox, and Dodgers - and tied with the Pirates.

Plus, the Reds have played in 6 WS since the Cubs last appeared in one. And this thread is about mocking that sorry franchise.

True. However if championships were evenly distributed among all MLB teams each team would only win a World Series every 30 years. It ain't easy.
Failing to win even one championship in more than a century is a horrible track record.
