We have a lineup, and I would expect this to be the opening day lineup

Choo 8, Phillips 4, Votto 3, Ludwick 7, Bruce 9, Frazier 5, Cozart 6, Hanigan 2, (Olivo DH, Cingrani LHP)

I was just going to post this, but was checking to see if we did ST games in this part of the forum last season or not.

I know whomoever was going to start was only going to go 2 innings at most, and I know they are likely setting things up with the longer ST to hold back the expected starters a bit, but with the first game of ST, when a good portion of cincy will be tuning in and getting the baseball juices flowing, I'm surprised they went with Cingrani rather than Bronson or Leake or Homer or Latos, etc..

At any rate, it will be good to hear Marty and the gang again.

Y'know, this batting order isn't bad at all. If Kipnis is for real, Santana bounces back, and everyone else goes for career averages, between defense and offense, they're solid.

It's the pitching that sucks.

It would be even funnier if they went to the wrong position. Stubbs is playing Choo's old spot in RF while Choo is playing Stubbs old spot in CF.

Cozart doubles to right and chases the pitcher from the game. I believe it's Fernando Nieve coming in.

medford
02-22-2013, 03:25 PM
Cozart goes oppage for a double, frasier held at 1st (the cowboy indicated that the speed of stubbs kept the ball from getting to the wall and allowing frasier to score, so i guess we're back to the drawing board with neither side winning the trade to date :) )

Danny Serafini
02-22-2013, 04:11 PM
Partch now walks the bases loaded with 1 out.

Marty just said no regular starting pitchers until Homer on Tues.

Partch serves up a double play ball, but Cozart blows the throw back on the 3-6-1 attempt. Now 5-4, 2 out

Danny Serafini

Who in the blank is Curtis Partch?

Spent most of last year at AA. Not any real threat to make the Opening Day roster, but they did give him a spot on the 40 man. And he Ks Kipnis to end the inning.

Pitching is a little rough in the early going. Alfredo Simon got roughed up for four runs in 1.2 IP. Nick Christiani pitched 1.2 innings, giving up two hit and two walks but somehow no runs. Wilkin de la Rosa, channelling his inner Arredondo, walks the first batter he faces.

Choo 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored. Phillips with a double and an RBI. Lutz 1 for 1 with a HBP. Frazier with 2 singles. Olivo walked twice!!!!
