Hope Mike Leake has a good game in him. The Phillies bats are due to breakout with just 8 runs over the 5 games on their trip. They play the Cardinals for 4 after this so sweeping them and then watching them bounce back strong would be fun even if that second part isn't too realistic.

HometownHero

Leake's numbers vs most of these guys looks like a nightmare. 5 of the 7 he's faced are hitting at least .500 in small sample sizes with the two who don't still dangerous in Rollins and Utley.

For all the early-season consternation regarding Bruce, he looks as good as I've ever seen him. If he can keep this approach and start drilling the ball over the fence regularly, he will be in the MVP discussion (assuming Upton doesn't continue his 100 homer pace lol).
He's wearing out LH pitching. Lots of good signs for Jay so far.

That pitcher had Frazier completely messed up. He was obviously having trouble picking up the ball, he swung way late.

Gotta be honest, I was looking down at my laptop when they said "Valdes is now in for the Phillies," and I had to do a double take. I thought Wilson was on the mound again, which assuredly would've stopped the damage ASAP.

Leake allowed two homers that game. IMO, Leake's problems have been 95% attributable to homers allowed.

He's not the kind of pitcher who can allow homers.
