Why is Beltran out?

Magdal
04-29-2013, 06:45 PM
Why is Beltran out?Because he is the hottest hitting card right now, and the worst player in the NL since Rick Ankiel and Chris Duncan Wiggington has to get some playing time.

I predict he will go 0 for however many ABs. Matheny figures that Waino will need NO runs to win the game!

Thanks, Maggie. Sounds good.

:thumbup:Oh, it's good Honey. The Cards have a trend going where they play awful players, going back to Joe Thurston, Khalil greene, Brendon Ryan, M. Ciaro, Dunkiel and others that don't come quickly to mind. Tonite it's the Wiggy guy. They gave this man a large contract for no CONCIEVABLE reason. So he must play! But in the 1st game of a REDS series??! OMFG!

No. Not dumb.

Bunting with a man on second makes more sense than bunting with a man on first. Getting the runner to third with one out is a good thing.

Also - we're talking Cozart against Wainright.

Absolutely the right move by Dusty.

Listening on radio...

Cowboy just commented on a Cards' player making a "galliant" effort on a hard hit grounder. This is at least the third time I've heard him use this made-up word, in limited radio-listening.

Is this a regular thing for him? If so, is it an "in-joke" or something he does on purpose (I know he and Marty often have fun with other made-up words he uses)? Or is it a genuine ignorance of the fact that "valiant" and "gallant" never got together and had a baby?

No way he belongs with the Reds as yet.

There were other choices at AAA. Didn't have to be an outfielder, the guy will mostly pinch hit anyway.
