Based on where the outfielders are starting then where they actually are catching the ball, it looks like the ball is just jumping today. It'll work both ways, thank goodness.

Love the hats. Very sharp IMO.

Don't mind the black cap as long as they have a predominantly red jersey. Last time they wore black caps, it was usually with the road grays and there wasn't much to distinguish them as the "Reds."

I disagree that the DP was botched. With a very fast runner at bat, a slow hit back to the pitcher is always hard to turn. With Phillips covering, his momentum was always going to be going the other way. The runner simply beat the throw.

This is a law of averages stretch for the Reds.

Starting pitching was leading the NL in ERA. At GABP, that's a ridiculous stat. It had to change.

I hope the opposite is true and that the hitting (particularly) and pitching pick up on the road.

With all the problems today, Latos "only" has 51 pitchers through three innings, a very reasonable pitch count.

But I would never manage this way, the pitcher now has been humiliated, his ERA is shot, and the Brewers will still have to use their pen for four more innings.

We might be seeing the beginning of a Jay Bruce Tear. Even his outs the last two or three games have been well struck.

Problem is that Jay seldom hits that well on the road. Just look at his splits, they are way skewed toward home performance.

Reds go on the road after tomorrow, so hopefully Jay will have an unusual road hot streak.

I'm not disagreeing with you, just presenting what I think was the thought process of the Brewers manager. The Brewers starters haven't given the Brewers as many innings as the Reds starters have, and the bullpen is already getting worn done, even if they have had some rest recently. The cumulative effect is also important to a bullpen.
