If Boss or GIK will draw the name of a poster who contributes ten bucks or more by my birthday on March 18th - I will send that poster a sheet of 1950s original Topps Reds Cards in good or better condition in an acetate collector's page. Sorry - no Robinson rookie but there are some neat doubles I own that I will contribute. The book value for the cards will be north of 20 bucks.

Enjoy your day!

I'm sure I could dig and find a few of Team Griffey's out grown Reds clothes to donate for a drawing or two. Please let me know if we plan to go this way again. I really enjoyed it last time. It was fun to see what people could dig up to donate and at the end, who won what.

I'm not much of a collector of anything ..... except my new fondness for DVDs and perhaps fishing lures ....LOL.

I do appreciate these donations that folks are coughing up for raffles. Makes it fun!

I still want one of the really goofy, reversible, floral, floppy Reds hats. Anyone got one? C'mon ..... I have to be the only nutty person in the universe that actually wear it in public.

I wish I had some cool Reds stuff to pony up.

TeamMorris,
Do I own anything that folks might be interested in? I'll have to look in my jewelry box. I may have some pins.

I just happen to own one of said hats. Donated by Creek and won by ole Grady in the previous campaign. I'd be proud to pass it along to a new winner. Just let me know ( Boss or GIK ) where to route floral floppy to next "nutty person". ;) :D ;)

GOOD LUCK to you TC.

As most of you all know, Boss and I have moved RedsZone to a private server. If anyone would like to help support us with the associated costs to run the site, we would be greatly appreciative. In total, RedsZone needs $1005 ($960 hosting, $45 renewal of domain and forum software) yearly.

You can use PayPal to donate directly online or, more traditionally, by sending a check/money order.

PayPal:

Visit http://www.paypal.com to instantly make your donation. My ID is: gik216@redszone.com

Check/M.O.:

Send a PM (Private Message) or E-mail (gik216@redszone.com) to me and I will reply with my home address.

If you have any other questions, please ask!

Thanks.

GIK,

You need one of those signs in your front yard that tells everyone what the goal is, and how much more you need.
Then every day, you can go outside and color in another block.

Just like the Shriners!

It will probably be a week or two before I can get some money in my PayPal account but plan to send some as soon as it's there.. Will we be able to send donations at anytime thru out the year to this Pa Pal address? You should leave the sticky up at all times with the account balance so we will all know when it's getting low.
Any word on a drawing for items that zoners are willing to donate?

I'm gonna give you my 2 cents worth here in a minute http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/moon.gif

That's what was left after Gov. Taft took the tax out

He heard about our little clique, and how we were good at raising money, so he, by executive order, has instituted a "Redszone" tax http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/misc/icon_deal.gif

I also got a nasty letter from Daschle wanting to know how long I have been a member of the communist website called Redszone comrade?

So I guess I got that going for me!

When doing the PayPal thing there's a "Type" option, should we use "service, goods, or quasi-cash"? Or does it even matter?

GIK
02-12-2003, 11:55 AM
I'm not sure if it matters but I think the 'quasi-cash' option can charge you more (not sure). I'd suggest using one of the other two.

Here's a PayPal message I got today for my payment two days ago.
__________________________________________________
"Two days ago you sent a payment to gik216@redzone.com. This
payment is still unclaimed. Often, unclaimed payments are a result of a payment being sent to a misspelled or otherwise incorrect email address. Please double-check to make sure you sent your payment to the intended recipient's correct email address.

One common cause of unclaimed payments is that the intended recipient has two duplicate email addresses, but only one version of it has been registered to their PayPal account."
__________________________________________________
I'm not sure what is happening, but I used gik216@redzone.com, is that correct?

IslandRed
02-12-2003, 08:38 PM
It's gik216@redszone.com (note the "s" you missed).

BTW, someone else asked about the Paypal type, it should probably be done as a "Service," for what little it matters.

y2kz3
02-12-2003, 08:40 PM
I was able to cancel and resend to include the "s". NOW you have mail ! Money well spent!

PayPal is really easy, so that delay was my error. PayPal is probably the most convenient way to move money quickly.
