Someone gets hit tonight and its not Choo. They'll hit BP. Too they won't hit Votto because Cleveland to close to Canada. They wouldn't want to lose 7 outta the 10 people who watch Indians baseball.

Not a game thread issue, but I'd like to see Felix Perez (.306 .376 .492 .867) up and Lutzie optioned.

Maybe the Reds could tell him that it wouldn't kill him to take a walk every now and then.

If the Indains pitcher plunks someone I hope he is tossed right away. Chappy didn't even hit Swisher, no retaliation should be needed

If Chap hit him, then it's game on

Somebody is definitely getting plunked. I don't think there's really any reason for it, but I think it happens regardless.

It's time to take another drive with another BABIP darling down Reality Highway, like we've done with Scott Feldman and Travis Wood.

McAllister is currently sporting a .260 BAPIP. which is one of the reasons why his actually ERA is about 1.75 runs below his 4.50 xFIP.

I'm confused by Cleveland's lineup. The catcher is NOT batting 8th?? What is that, some weird AL rule? Craziness...

Wait, neither is Mesoraco....I don't even know what to think anymore.

I've accepted that he's probably never going to change. He is what he is. But I think what BluegrassRedleg said is correct: he guesses a lot and makes up his mind he's going to swing before the pitch is delivered. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.

Phillips had a fat 2-0 pitch that he took.....Bruce had a 2-0 pitch that he swung at...that was a pitcher's pitch. It was like the pitcher was guessing better than the hitter each time. He got away with it on BP.... as I do not think BP thought he was crazy enough to throw him that 3-2 pitch as well.

Frustrating indeed.

I expect all of the haters on Redszone to accurately predict when Latos is about to give up a run, since they were all so critical of Dusty last week and his inability to do so.
Except that isn't what the debate was about. It was about Dusty not having anyone warming in the bullpen in case the wheels came off.

Once Votto stole the base, with a base open, it made sense to plunk Phillips if you're going to do it.

Latos gets out of the sixth, but Mat sometimes has trouble the third time through the lineup. He's not like Bailey who gets stronger in the late innings, or at least that's how it seems to me.

Reds have blown a ton of chances tonight, if they're going to win, the bullpen will likely have to help.

If Dusty just sticks with Latos I fear trouble. Lecure might be someone to use in this game.
