Just a thread to post potential relief pitchers the Reds could acquire by the deadline. First one to my mind is Glen Perkins from the Twins. Nasty swing and miss stuff and can get both lefties and righties out. Would be perfect setup guy here and potential closer if Chappy became a starter. Twins need pitching help BAD and we have plenty of solid pitching prospects.

Mike Dunn (LH) - Marlins
Mike Gonzalez (LH) - Brewers
Tom Gorzelanny (LH) - Brewers

I wouldn't expect the Cubs to shed Russell. They are rebuilding, have a reasonable starting rotation, and lots of young bats. Bull Pen is where they need to bolster.

They'd probably trade Marmol to the Reds in a heartbeat though :)

Reds won't do anything till around trade deadline and by then the division could be gone and playing for a WC slot...also alot depends on health of Marshall
