Especially being a Law & Order buff, this is very disappointing.

well. Looks like im going to have to watch Billy Heywood take Manager George O'Farrells job and take the Twins to the pennant. Only to lose to Ken Griffey JR and the Mariners

"Serrano's got the disks! Serrano's got the disks!"

Might be time to watch "Midnight Run" for about the 38th time.

One of the quintessential 70's and 80's character guys.

I never did quite feel right with him on Unsolved Mysteries, but he did a good job there too.

Former Chicago cop.

First thing I remember him in was a great period cop show called Crime Story (they used a cover of Del Shannon's "runaway" as the theme song)

Dude turned into a great actor

I really enjoyed the first season of that show. It jumped the shark after it went to Vegas.

Yep, my first though. He was the best part of that flick.

One of my favorite character actors. Great comedic timing. May he RIP.

Crime Story still comes to mind for me. That, and I had a trainer at a job once who was from Chicago with the last name Farina. I kept intending to ask her if she was related, but never got around to it.

I always figured he was a lot like the characters he played.
