I guess it makes me old, but I look at a Dodger line-up and see Crawford and I automatically think of Willie Crawford who was a mainstay for LA during the BRM era and usually did well against the Reds. I barely remembered that Carl Crawford played for LA since the Reds play them so infrequently. Times have changed.

To say that a win tonite vs. the pistol hot Dodgers would be big would be a gross understatement. I'm getting the LA feed and they speak very highly of this Reds team.

The Cards have the toughest road trip possible ahead with 11 games vs. Braves, Reds and Pirates. (5 in 4 days w/Bucs) An excellent opportunity for the Reds to make up significant ground on somebody.

Jerry Hairston....only played a handful of games in CF for the Reds but he made the best play I've even seen by a Reds CF going 22 strides (Willie Mays WS catch was 21) and then did a full extension dive on the warning track going into the bottom of the wall....I think it was his 2nd game playing there.

I talked to Grande for a couple innings up at the old Metrodome in Minneapolis in '99. Couldn't have been a nicer guy and took a lot of time for me. His best days may be behind him, but I just can't say anything bad about the guy. A true gentleman and you'll never find a more friendly guy.

Just got home (thanks to me playing taxi for my 14-year old and her boyfriend ... grr). Good to see the Reds up, but the runs were driven in by Paul and Izturis? Really, haha. Best stat I see so far is Latos at just 39 pitches after three innings. That's huge for him. Hope I don't jinx it. :)

I avoid ESPN, unless it's a live game I really want to see, so I can't relate to the Puig overkill. I'm looking forward to watching him the next four games. Probably more than I've looked forward to watching any player in years.

I believe they simulcast part of his TV broadcast on radio and then they have other announcers for part of the game. Scully does the whole game on TV I believe.

I looked it up and it is only the first 3 innings is simulcast. Charley Steiner and Rick Monday do the rest of the game on radio
