The Sandlot has child actors in it, but I do not consider it a "kids movie."
It is a baseball movie, and I believe every baseball fan should watch it. It is right up there with Bull Durham in my book, it is excellent.

"Sandlot" is a bit overrated, in my opinion, but it's a nice little movie with heart and baseball. So I ain't mad at it, as the kids say.

"Kids' movie" is a marketing tactic and nothing else. I'd take The Sandlot over Field of Dreams six days a week and twice on Sunday.

Sandlot is a kids' movie like Stand By Me was a kids' movie.

I will admit that I haven't enjoyed The Sandlot as much the last five or six times I've seen it.

The Sand Lot is a good movie with kids. More of a best summer remembrance, and life transition/coming of age story.
Rookie of the Year is a kid movie. "Funky Butt Loving." I remember my sister repeating that line, after having watched it, at a family reunion. Apparently my parents had to punish her to keep up appearances. Funny stuff.
If you haven't seen The Sandlot, you're doing it wrong.
