Tiny sample size, but Frazier has walked 4 times in 6 games in the No. 2 spot. #Reds' other 2 hitters have walked 27 times in 125 games

Hopefully the Reds give Cingrani some support tonight - 2 or fewer runs scored in 4 of his 7 starts. And hopefully the staff keeps rolling- a 1.62 era over the last 8 games.

The Brewers are as hapless against lefties as the Reds going 11-24. Milwaukee beat Cingrani 2-0 in a game he didn't deserve to lose in early July. Lohse has been one of the league's best pitchers since June - and is 4-3 lifetime against the Reds.

Can you imagine where we'd be w/o Cingrani. What a gift from heaven. The only time I've been disappointed in him this year was when he gave up that hit to Alverez. Does he have a shot for ROY?

Choo: 2-11, 0 K
Frazier: 1-6, 1 K
Votto: 7-21, 5 K, 1 BB
BP: 7-28, 2 K, 1 BB
Bruce: 9-29, 7 K, 2 BB
Ludwick: 0-7, 3 K, 3 BB
Mes: 1-6, 2 BB
Cozart: 3-13, 2 K, 1 BB

Looks like it's going to be key to get Choo and Frazier on base. Middle order guys fare pretty well against him.

There was zero theatrics to that play. He went balls to the wall after that ball and where the wall was didn't matter as he knew he could get to that ball and that's all that mattered. That's as difficult as play as a CF will make. Not sure who else catches and holds on to that.

7.09 It is interference by a batter or a runner when:

(h) In the judgment of the umpire, the base coach at third base, or first base, by touching or holding the runner, physically assists him in returning to or leaving third base or first base.

(i) With a runner on third base, the base coach leaves his box and acts in any manner to draw a throw by a fielder;

Either way, I don't think he physically assisted him.

Dead serious question. Let's say Cueto is ready to come back tomorrow (not true, I know...but go with it). How can anybody justify bumping Cingrani OUT of the rotation at this point? Who would you bump?

For me, it's still Cingrani. He's got bullpen experience, he's the only one without starting playoff experience, and he still has some shorter outings with some pitch efficiency troubles. Don't get me wrong, he's been fantastic, but so has the entire rotation.

Tom Browning having a strikeout record seems like Chris Sabo having a Hr record.

Not too many rookies have had seasons like Browning did. But seriously, how many Reds rookies have pitched enough innings to even come close to it? Not many.

I think that's why they are considering using Cueto in relief. Not wanting to upset the apple cart by messing with the rotation this late in the year.

This is one of those things that I do not understand.

Parra comes in, faces the lefty, does his job. Great. Then you leave him in to face one righthander in Bianchi, he gets on board, so now you bring in Broxton? Why? If you leave Parra in to face Betancourt (who is turd), then you have the lefty-lefty matchup you want against Aoki. As it stands, even if Brox gets Betancourt, you have an unfavorable platoon matchup. And the thing you certainly want to avoid is Segura batting with men in scoring position.
