FSN trivia question: Who was the last Red to play in all 162 games in a season?

Without looking it up, I'd have to guess Adam Dunn.

I'm guessing Not Ken Griffey Jr.

That's the only thing I can think of too. I didn't think they counted those games in the stats if they have to replay it.

They wouldn't completely replay the game would they? Wouldn't they simply continue the game from when it stopped? And that wouldn't count as 2 games would it?

Maybe it's something obvious I'm missing, but I can't seem to wrap my head around that one.

My favorite cycle story:

In the '90's, Chris Sabo had a double, triple and homer going into his last AB in the 9th. He hit a solid single to center, but saw that the CF was lazy to the ball, so he took off for second and got a double instead. The Reds were winning in a blowout.

No, a game that goes at least five innings (or 4.5, if the home team is ahead) is an official game. If that official game was tied at the time it was called, then it was complete and would have to be made up in its entirety. (Opening Day 2000--Ken Griffey Jr.'s first game as a Red--was an example of this.) All statistics from such a game were considered official. Three or four years ago, Bud Selig changed the rule so that a tie game called after five or more innings would be suspended, and then resumed from the point of suspension at a later date.

Interestingly, games called because of darkness (as sometimes happened at Wrigley Field prior to August 8, 1988) were not considered completed official games, but were suspended games regardless of the score. Such a game would be completed immediately prior to the next scheduled game at that venue between the two clubs.
