Sweet! That's what I was hoping for. I would've liked to have seen one of the starters get a rest, but I guess that's what the off season is for. Well, that and celebrating our WS title. ;)

Hamilton in CF and Choo in LF?

Why not? Gotta' find out if Hamilton can play CF & Choo is a more experienced corner Outfielder. Also, it could give a clue as to next years possible positioning.

Plus, HOU has a deep CF so it is advantageous to have the faster guy in CF.

This, I love this. At the bottom there is no pressure on him and if he gets on he will be on for the top of the lineup!

Oh it makes sense. In my opinion it made sense to play Heisey and Robinson et al in CF after opening day. Just suprised to see in happen on Sept 18.

I agree with the sentiment this is basically a AAA lineup that Reynolds is facing tonight (Carter is the epitome of a AAAA first baseman). Nonetheless, for being on the safe side, sure would be nice to see the Reds put up another 10 runs tonight.

No one in Reds management will make choices on Hamilton based on a 3 hit night, when you have a season of AAA stats to look at.

It's a nice night for Billy, but he's still the exact same player he was before the 3 hits.

What I've been most impressed with is that in the seven or eight plate appearances thus far, he's mostly hitting line drives and ground balls. If he continues to make contact and does that, he's going to have a really high BABIP and thus a pretty good OBP.

I think if the season lasted two more weeks, the Reds would be the favorite to take the division.

It would be way more shocking, and thus much less likely, for the Nationals to make the postseason as a WC THAN it would be for us to take the Division given the current context and games remaining.

I could give a flying fig about the results. But in all of his AB's in the season, he's shown a really nice swing and approach. A much better one than I saw in the minors. Plus, he's played a nice CF so far.

I'm not saying he will be successful in the majors as a hitter, but he's shown the skills to be successful. He's shown he knows how to play baseball. Ergo, he's not just fast.
