Businessman's Special?

They're not allowed to call it that anymore. It's the "Business Day Special" now.

I thought the whole PC craze was dying off. Remember when they had road signs that said "People Working", and manholes were called "person holes"?

This exact lineup has been in my mind for next year assuming they can re-sign Choo. Choo would be an excellent #2 hitter and make this lineup (assuming Hamilton does his part) very very balanced at the top.

Mets TV broadcast.

Shows Mes hit with a warmup pitch in the dirt. Eric Young nicely asked Mes if he's ok. Mes said yes.

Mets TV guys commented that Mes had some trouble holding on to the ball last night. But complimented his throwing arm.

Dusty said Cozart had played 34 games without a break. Smart to rest him now IMO. Give him the two day break.

Izturis can't hit but he's very competent at shortstop and Cozart needs to be ready for all the games to come.

Glad it's not an injury, or at least apparently it isn't.

Best part of the Mets broadcasting team, both on TV and radio, is their knowledge of the game. They seem to know more about the Reds and their players than some of the Reds announcers. This allows them to give very informative anaylsis.

The Reds played the infield way in with the man on third. Then the Mets scored on a routine slow grounder that got through.

Mes caused the problem because he couldn't catch the passed ball.

Mets announcers critical of Reds infield in decision. We'll see if it haunts with infield back the run scores anyway.

Unfortunate. Now a line drive single off Frazier's glove.

I don't think the Reds have played all that well since the Cards/Dodgers week at GABP. Lost 4 of 6 to the Cubs and Brewers. No but most of us had hoped the Reds would be better than fifth best in a fifteen team league.

They are a good team that should be better.

So people analyze and look for answers.

We can just sit around and applaud, or we can try and figure out why the Reds aren't dominating the Mets and why they are a top third ballclub this year rather than top one or two.

Two down for the Mets in the fifth. Murphy up. 1-0 Mets. Latos at 75 pitches so he's got a ways to go.That suit probably cost more money than I'll make this entire year, lol.

He's just expressing frustation with the Reds' failure to execute this series, that's all. It's the same point.

Hopefully they will come alive in the late innings and pull this out.

Otherwise, this weekend probably won't be that important or exciting.

Actually I'm expressing frustration with the Red's failure to execute for a good part of the season. They've got 90 wins on talent. Failure to do the little things is what seperates them from the Cardinals.

Cueto got hurt, Ludwick got hurt, Marshall got hurt, Broxton sucked and then got hurt, added a tremendous Choo but everyone else on offense saw their stats decrease.

1. Offensive team numbers misleading because Choo and Votto OBPs are so extraordinary. Team below average or worse at most positions on offense. Unlike last year.

2. Bullpen was great last year, blew a lot of road games this year.

3. Those are the main issues, some caused by injury. Starters had injuries but Cingrani's great run made it a non-problem. Team second in ERA for starters.

Has nothing to do with getting a bunt down, hitting the cutoff man, not focusing on defense, and running the bases properly, all of which have been problems for 2013 Reds. Not to mention an overall lack of energy which seems to have been readily apparent to Darling and Hernandez this series.
