I'd rather see Bronson go to the AL.

He seems like he would just fit perfect in SF though.

Arroyo would love the NL West. The division is a fly ball pitcher's delight.

Still think we should have gambled and tendered Bronson and dealt with him signing with us on a 1 year deal.

In the future a sign and trade might be a better option in these situations ala the NBA where you work out a deal for a lower round prospect than a comp. pick.

The Reds moving on with Bronson is good business. They have no business paying him the going rate. He gave the Reds good, consistent years, but I am really concerned that it is midnight and he will turn into a pumpkin.

As a fourth or fifth starter he is tremendously valuable....with offense down, it'll be even better for him.

Well, maybe not just yet.

Now a free agent, Arroyo said he’s open to any of the 30 teams, but there are three major factors – 1. a team needs to have a need for a starter, 2. he’d like a team that has a chance to win a title and, 3. he’d prefer not to go to the west coast, where he’s never played and is far from friends and family.

The Phillies are among the clubs that have shown interest in Bronson Arroyo, but no offer has been made just yet. The Giants and Twins have also been reported to have interest in the durable veteran, but none of the interested teams have put an offer on the table just yet.

Phillies contacted Bronson Arroyo's agent. The 36 year old starter won 14 games last year for the Cincinnati Reds

Bronson Arroyo continues to talk with the Giants, among other teams.

I don't think that's a gamble, that's losing on pretty much a sure thing.

Arroyo looks attractive becuase they think he'll be cheaper and won't cost a draft pick.

If he had turned down the QO, his phone would have gone silent.

The Giants inked veteran right-hander Tim Hudson on Monday to a two-year contract worth $23 million, but they are not done pursuing starting pitchers.

Giants assistant general manager Bobby Evans told Jim Bowden of SiriusXM on Tuesday afternoon that his team is still in contact with another veteran right-hander, Bronson Arroyo. The idea would be to pair Hudson and Arroyo with current starters Madison Bumgarner, Matt Cain and Tim Lincecum.

Free-agent pitcher Bronson Arroyo, who went 14-12 with a 3.79 earned-run average for the Cincinnati Reds last season, told MLB Network Radio on Monday that both the Dodgers and Angels are among four teams known to have expressed interest in him this winter.

Mets GM Sandy Alderson will meet with free-agent starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo in Florida this week, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports. Arroyo reportedly wants a three-year deal, but might ultimately settle for two years and a vesting option, a source tells Rubin. Earlier in the offseason, Alderson met with shortstop Jhonny Peralta and outfielder Chris Young. Peralta ended up signing with the Cardinals, but the Mets landed Young on a one-year deal.

Earlier this week, Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reported that the Mets were in hot pursuit of Arroyo. The Twins also remain heavily interested, even after reaching a four-year agreement with Ricky Nolasco, and the Angels might also be a possibility. Arroyo, who in 2013 pitched at least 199 innings for the ninth consecutive season, should be able to help stabilize some team's shaky rotation.

I could see him with the Mets, then dealt to a contender at the deadline this year or next.
