It just seems like it has a lot relatable life tangents for people. Performance, chemistry, craftsmanship etc. This sport must like physics, not poetry.

You forgot to mention back room deals and backstabbing competitors in order to get a name face that will boost television ratings on the team. That is just like in real life too.
