I'm ready. Spring Training games are a nightmare for people who keep score at home though. Especially with all those minor-league players who aren't even listed anywhere, so pretty much the only way to get jersey numbers for them is through direct visual observation. Ugh.

700 on IHeartRadio is playing something other than the game so I think you have to go through official MLB sources...

Although there's usually an affiliate station or two that forget (or maybe "forget") to turn off the game on their online stream.

Fast enough to ever try stealing.

In 2010 he attempted 28 and was caught 12 times (terrible)
In 2011 he attempted 23 and was caught 9 times (terrible)
In 2012 he attemped 17 and was caught twice (thats actually very good)
In 2011 he drastically decreased to 8, caught 3 times

Wasn't uneducated - he is not as fast as he once was, and I hope he does not attempt a lot of stolen bases this year. Good grief, it was just a comment about Phillips moving into the regular season, it's not like I said he firebombed a village.

Watching the replay. In the first inning with BP batting, one of the talking heads said something like the Reds tried to deal Phillips all Winter long and according to some people it may still happen.

Kinda late on a response to this, but just got on..I kinda thought same, except it was a drawn-in infield. If Chisenhall is even playing even with the bag I think Billy makes it. He did make it a close play......for what ever that is worth.
'unpossible' ..does that mean it is more possible than being 'impossible'?
Also. I love the reading the threads, but when at work, and can't watch, don't really know the score, and these threads can go for pages without a hint of a score. Could someone post a score , say every other inning or so, for those of us, that are just checking in.

Good to see baseball back. I enjoyed watching the game off my DVR last night.
Hamilton's first AB was terrific. If he can do that a couple of times a game he will be worth his weight in gold.
I had never seen Sharky Rogers pitch before. I thought he looked really good. Any chance he could make the team or help out sometime during the season? I know its just one game but I was impressed with him.
I thought the under the radar signings of the Reds looked good,Schumaker,Santiago and Pena. My fearless prediction is that these under the radar signings Jocketty made are going to make a huge difference in this team in 2014. Hey! It's spring training I can be optimistic! ;)

Just before the game, Joey Votto requested Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon,” for his “at-bat” music. Sound familiar? It’s the same tune Todd Frazier steps in the batter’s box to. Not sure if Joey was messing with Todd or not, but just before Votto’s first plate appearance of the game, he took a second to acknowledge the song and to point to Todd in the dugout. Good stuff. And don’t panic, I don’t think it means Joey is making a permanent switch from the Stones’ “Paint it Black.”

I can't wait to get to Goodyear next month and see the guys having fun.
