When you are new on the job, like Price, you are always eager to get going. :)

Navarro?!? I thought we let him walk?

Nevermind. Reynaldo Navarro . Switchhitting SS.
Every Cueto outing this spring will be important. Hope he's healthy and effective today.

I thought I'd read where Cueto's Tiant Twist was a thing of the past?
Danny Serafini

And for the 2nd day in a row Hamilton causes chaos on the basebaths. He singles, takes a wide turn and the SS throws the ball into the camera well trying to catch him off the bag.

And for the 2nd day in a row he gets stranded at 3rd.

It's supposed to be "less pronounced"

Couple of times it looked like he didn't turn as far, other times I didn't see any difference from last year.

He needs to start stealing home.

Ty Cobb holds the record with 8 in a season (Pete Reiser had 7 for the NL record) and Cobb has the career record with 54.
Think Hamilton can break the record for a season (don't think anyone will beat 54 for a career)?

I'd like to see Lutz take a big step up in AAA this year
Holmberg allows a walk and a hit after getting two outs (both K's if I recall). He looks just as advertised. Polished, knows what he's doing, crafty, not a flame thrower.
Let's see if he can get Giambi. He does, on a fly to center.

Holmberg gives up 2 run homer

A note on Hamilton's single, it was a clean line drive to to left center. He went oppo with the hit. Nice stroke.
With so much settled on this team, and so much riding on Hamilton, I know he is the one I am most interested in watching this spring.

Missed the inning - and Gameday doesn't have it recorded yet..... Was it Corcino that got shelled?

Yes but Guillen gave up the grand slam with Corcino's men on.

Corcino loaded the bases, was removed for Guillon who gave up the grand slam.

I see it now.
Walks will haunt. So early yet - probably just trying to get pitches over.
Still an unenviable line....

Corcino and Guillon didn't exactly impress me. Hamilton looked good. Again. Phenom battle between Lorenzen and Wendle ends with Lorenzen KO. Liked that.

Defense looked all keystone coppish that 7th inning. LOL - when its 12-2 in spring all you do is laugh. Diaz had a tough attempt there. HRod just looked lackadaisical and got burned.

Great to hear that Cueto looked good and BHam looking solid.

Last year's spring training showed what a miserable lack of pitching depth we have in this organization. Looks like that problem wasn't solved over the winter.

Figured that out after 2 spring training games? one of which they won.
