6970

Surprised Heisey isn't in the lineup with Bruce getting a day off simply due to Heisey's numbers against Wandy and Bruce's struggles against him.

Tom, recognizing that someone isn't focused does not require a professional degree in psychology. If that was the case, nobody should ever be in authority of another human being either in the workforce, a family, or any other organization because all humans would be too stupid to recognize behavior in another human being.

You are disappointed in his first 15 or so innings. That's fair. But that's all it is.

True that it's only 15 innings, but it's also three starts and three losses after being given early leads where he quickly gave the lead back. It's bad pitching. I expected some bad pitching, but not back-to-back-to-back to begin the year.

so you give up on that after two and a half innings? coming back from groin problems?

And I canŽt say that heŽs not focused! I see a guy disappointed with himself most of the time and having problems to throw breakingballs... is it his lack of focus, is his groin still bothering him, has he just a bad start like a lot of other players and workers do, does he make himself to much pressure after signing this contract, lots of possibilities and I doubt that you (or I) know the answer

It took Homer 2-1/2 years to get over the mental hurdle of pitching inside. This is just another in a long line of mental hurdles for Homer to overcome. I think it is the big contract as you mentioned.

I love the Homer Bailey signing by Walt, and believe he got exactly the amount of money he deserved.

I haven't lost any hope in Homer that he'll prove the contract was a good move, but I'm disappointed by his first three starts following the signing of the contract.
