Amazingly enough Todd has plodded along to a 1.0 WAR (and that was before his HR last night) already this year. Small sample so far, but that's 1 WAR in the bank. I'm still trying to figure him out.

Yeah, I was not saying he is bad or anything, but did you ever think you would see Frazier batting third this year?

Yeah, I was not saying he is bad or anything, but did you ever think you would see Frazier batting third this year?

If you said Votto wouldn't be, I would see Frazier on the short list for sure. He was 3rd on the team in OPS last year if you take Choo out.

Frazier is probably the 3rd best offensive player on this team with Rocco out and I don't think that is very surprising.

Raisor

If you aren't going to put Bruce there then Frazier is who I would go with.

Maybe this is Price giving Bernadina one last shot to make an impression. As C Trent said Skip could be activated tomorrow. And a decision has to be made. I know it's very unlikely anything happens to Santiago. But, it is interesting that both him and Bernadina are starting the day before Skip is due back.

I heard someone with a theory that the umpires that are rotated in and out of there may not want to show up their colleagues and so they aren't overruling anything that isn't clear cut. That and some of the umps that are rotated in might have grudges against certain teams/players for whatever reason and are using the replay system to get back at them.

Nope, it definitely went over and then bounced back on the field of play. Clearly a HR per one of the replay angles. I guess they didn't see that one in New York. (Or they're extremely drunk.)

Unless you are watching a replay that hasn't been shown on either feed then I'm right. Lead off double just squandered. Leake better stay on his A-game today.

I heard someone with a theory that the umpires that are rotated in and out of there may not want to show up their colleagues and so they aren't overruling anything that isn't clear cut. That and some of the umps that are rotated in might have grudges against certain teams/players for whatever reason and are using the replay system to get back at them.

No need for conspiracy theories.

Umps suck at their job. End of the explanation.

I heard that during games Price wears an ear piece connected to Dusty Baker and Matt Latos was never injured, he just hates baseball. Same guy probably started all of these rumors.

So did the umps in the stadium review the call or the guys in new York? Brantley is saying it wasn't a challenge. Are all replays in New York this year or are the non challenged calls still decided by umps in stadium?

If the guys in New York have better camera angles than what's on TV, it'd be in MLB's best interest to let viewers see this footage at some point after the call is made.
