Louisville has a matinee today against Durham (Wilson Betemit, Mike Fontenot, Ray Olmedo). Curtis Partch is starting. He started last week when the Bats had a bullpen day, and did well in a short stint. I wonder if this is more of the same or if they might be converting him back to a starter.

He just gave up the game's first run in the third: 3 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K (so far).

Partch went 3 innings. Threw 54 pitches. Now it's Christiani, who has gone one perfect.

Bryan Anderson, who is raking, tied it in the 5th with a solo HR.

Big Lutz has his first Triple-A HR. It was a 3-run thwack, and puts the Bats up 4-1 after six. (He's playing first base, BTW.)

Christiani worked 2 innings, and Lee Hyde pitched the 6th.

Bats and Bulls exchange runs in the 9th, which means that Louisville wins 5-4. Large Adam Russell worked the final 1.1, giving up his first run as a Bat but nailing down his second save while striking out 3.

Lutz was 2-4 with a HR and SB.
Argenis Diaz was 2-3 with a 2B and BB.
Christiani picked up the W, giving up one hit in 2 IP.

Louisville is now one game under .500 (22-23).
