Too much wind resistance.
Maybe if they had some holes in them. Would get the contact but might hurt the power.

In his defense (I know - a dangerous position)…. A walk there lets kershaw strike out the pitcher and then face hamilton with 2 outs. Way better than a strikeout, but thinking ahead it kinda makes sense to be slightly more aggressive there.

And I know people are tired of hearing about opposing SP, but Kershaw tonight and Greinke tonight are really just incredible at what they do. Greinke last night was all over the corners and changing speeds so easily. Tonight that curve that Kershaw just threw to Hamilton. I hate seeing them do it to the Reds and would enjoy it a lot more if they were doing it to the Cards but it really is impressive to watch pitchers like this. Amazing how good these guys are.

Wild pitch = earned run. Passed ball = unearned run. At that point. But it could change depending on what Bailey does. If Bailey or someone following him gets a hit, then the run becomes earned, even with the passed ball.

You can say hurt or not and act like it doesn't matter but it does. The guy was getting on base at a better clip than he ever has and he was doing it without hitting much. I think most thought he was going to really break out then he messed up his knee. And honestly I think he came back quick as he could because he knew the Reds were getting zero help from his replacements. It is frustrating but I think he will get past the injury and get it going in a big way.
