Well, with no one besides Frazier really hitting right now, the batting order probably doesn't matter a whole lot.

Is it just me or are the umpires very anxious to start games this year? We've seen them start in the rain, play during the rain and wait until the late hours to avoid a rainout. I don't recall anything like this. Of course, this has been a very rainy spring.

Well, the umps have no control over it until the game starts. Up to then, it's up to the home team. I don't think they are anxious for rainouts. That means rain checks.

I wish the Reds could make unlimited contributions via a Super PAC to the MLB congressional candidates and then push for a MLB house committee to think of new ways to acquire runs that match the Reds strengths (strikeouts, runners left on base) and then have it turned into a bill that gets voted on and passed on to the MLB senate where it is reviewed for baseball constitutionality by newly appointed head of Baseball Rules Committee, Bob Castellini, who deems it constitutional and they vote again and get 2/3rds vote and the Reds go undefeated and score 9,000,000 runs and become World Series Champions.

I need to somehow convince myself that Bruce is just never going to learn to lay off those low sliders/cutters. He just can't help himself and after six plus years, I don't think that's going to change.

Despite better fielding, I see Bruce as no more than an Adam Dunn II. (Except for Dunn would walk 100+ times a season). Bruce is and always will be a high swing and miss guy, with around 30 bombs a season. Average probably around .240 ish.
