I loathe Frazier playing first. I like Negron's approach to hit it up the middle or oppo, but right now want Pena in there every day.

Santiago is the best guy to play second. Don't know what happened to him.

He's good at SS and second, not so good at third.

Skip should just play outfield not infield.

Cosart with a hit made me go and look up the performance of pitchers hitting against the Reds. It feels like they are always getting key hits and walks to start off innings vs the Reds. Despite this the Reds are acting holding #9 hitters to the lowest BA and 2nd lowest OBP in the league. they are tied for 3rd most walks of the 9 hitter however.

Mike Stanton should've had that...jogged after it. Had to double time it after he realized it was going to fall.

That's pretty much how he runs....very long strides and they aren't quick. If he runs faster he still can't get there fast enough to catch that safely....of he runs a bit faster and catches that he probably gets hurt.

CarGo just made an outstanding catch like that about 20 min ago....he laid there and eventually hobbled off the field.

I'm not convinced Stanton thought that ball had a chance of staying in, after his first few steps I really believe that's bout as fast as he is....but his first few steps were long and slow

Is that where Miami got the design idea for that monstrosity in centerfield?

Broxton's ERA has skyrocketed to 1.16 with that dinger.

I was. *grin*

And Krono...I was initially going to type 25. Dead serious. Thought it might offend people though...and then hell, 40 bugged someone. :O)

That was a perfect inning for my interests. Stanton gets a HR, but Brox retires everyone else.

Gear up the Cuban Missile and let's get ourselves a 2-game winning streak.

Well deserved. He's got some of the worst fundamental techniques back there that I've seen in quite a while.

Let's get back over .500 and then see what happens. The second wildcard really opens everything up. I'm actually not a fan of it, but this year (and last year) it helps the Reds.

Base hit for the Marlins' SS. But whateves. Missile is so much fun to watch.

Your 2014 Reds: Good starting pitching, two great relief pitchers, and the much maligned Ryan Ludwig knocking in a key run or two once in awhile.

Yes I did just watch it...and I'm even MORE confused. He slid into the wall with his LEFT foot, the right foot was tucked under him as he slid into the wall. As he comes up, he's clutching his RIGHT foot/ankle. Nice catch, but he hurt his ankle sliding...not hitting the wall. Watch it again. As I said...glass.

No, I didn't. But he's on the DL more than anybody I can remember.

That's fine but find the video. He slid full speed into the wall and busted up his ankle....it surely was nothing ordinary.

I know what you mean with his DL trips but seeing the great highlight play and effort I just thought the "made of glass comment" wasn't fair to a guy who sold out to make a great play....while being on a crappy team.

2 posts up bud. I did watch it. He didn't bust up his ankle sliding into the wall. He hit the wall with his left...then grabbed his right. The right didn't touch anything but his butt and the ground as he slid.

Announcer fooled me with ankle as his other foot hit looking to injur that ankle....I'll ask you to watch again and his leg that was ticked under him caught a lot of pressure as well and can't tell if that concrete is raised up a few inches....if so his ankle/shin likely busted it.

Regardless, still don't think made of glass works on that play....and he's not on the DL yet either.

Here is a pic of the concrete that is a couple inches off the ground....I think his right ankle/lower leg could've hit it darn hard.
