Did Ludwick die?

You have to think he's either banged up, buried, or they're really hoping to move him before September, and don't want to risk him getting injured before hand.

Did Ludwick die?

No...Skip is clearly the best choice in LF. He can do it all.

Ironman92
08-30-2014, 02:19 PM
Skip is 0 for his last 8 and this is his 3rd straight start.

I don't think I'm out of line by saying, regardless of what we have....Skip should never get 3 straight starts.

Luddy FWIW is 0 for his last 16

Pena hitting higher in the order than Bruce. Against a righty pitcher, no less.

With Ludwick's flailing health, there's no way they pick up his option next year, is there?

I thought Simon might be getting back in gear with his good outing last time.

I've seen enough, back to the bullpen. Too many innings, didn't hold up.

You'll always have the all star game, Alfredo.

What makes you think (friendly tone) he would be a better asset in the pen now?

To me if he continues to spiral downwards (this start and 1 more)....I'd shut him down in hopes he will be fine next year

I mean the bullpen next year. I have no more suggestions for this year, which I deem to be over. Don't care how they handle this year with Simon, or frankly, anyone else.

Except they might want to take it easy on some of these starters who are mounting up a lot of innings for no good reason.

I'm really not considering Simon for a rotation spot for next season if I'm the Reds. Either put him back in the bullpen or trade him. We have internal options and in today's pitching dominated game there are better options available as well.

Lol....interviewing Leake during the inning and asking him about his college teammate Ike Davis. He said he can't say much about what he did on the air but that he was always kissing around and playing grab ass. Lol and he also gave it back to Sean Casey a couple times.

Skip 0 or last 10
Luddy 0 for last 16

Want to formally withdraw my comment about Simon to the bullpen, earlier in the thread. As predicted by another poster, he has done well today, did well last time.

It's kind of hard to judge because in usual baseball you have an offense, so allowing a few runs doesn't have the same impact.

Carry on.

You hate Heisey more than anyone....would you have let Bruce and Skip bat vs a tough lefty with runners on base in the 7th.

At that time Skip was 0 for his last 11 and Bruce 1 for his last 12 with 8 K
