It is the height of stupidity to trade a player to someone in your division--especially a good one. With our pitiful bullpen, we may not win again with moves like this. I know we are not going anywhere this year, but why strengthen anyone in your division?

What part of his game since he's return does he show any signs of not being good enough to play? I see zero signs of not being ok to play.

Cueto is done for the year. Too many innings.

? He has not even pitched 200 innings coming into this game? He has pitched over 200 innings before. I am not going to correlate one bad game into he has pitched too many innings. Good grief pitchers have to be able to throw at least 200-220 innings or else you might as well go with a 6 man rotation.

He may wear down a bit coming off of a low inning season and slightly lose his placement of pitches....but with under 30 games left most every player battles to get through the rest of the season.

the Carddinals might have the best fans in the world but their official scorers are the biggest idiots on the planet. 2B for Matt C on a ball right in the CF glove who was lazily drifting back.

Yep....ran forever but it was an error.

Scorers have been ticking me off the past several years.

Nothing is an error unless the stud pitcher is on the mound.

They're notorious.

I mean even Al Hrabosky said it was an error. That's embarrassing.

When's the deadline today? Was it 4 P.M. like July 31st was, or is it midnight tonight?

Because, maybe as KC said earlier, the Reds could find takers for Heisey and maybe even Ludwick, before the day is over.

The kid baffles me. Maybe it's his eyes. When he's on, he plays good defense and hits. When he's not (which is more often than not), he's a dead spot in the lineup.

This is completely anecdotal because I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it seems like Heisey always hits well at PNC Park.

Hits well against the Pirates period, but no so much this year - .219/.242/.406

I'm happy that the Reds could salvage the last game of the 3 game set with my sons going down to Pittsburgh from Calgary to catch the series.

IIRC, a number of years ago we were in Cincy to catch the Blue Jays and Yankees beating up on the Reds, The Reds won the last game when Heisey hit 3 HR's.

Unfortunately, many Americans didn't learn much about Canada in school, so there are often huge misconceptions about Canada.

I'm sure there is many that don't know Calgary or Alberta.

You obviously aren't one of those people.

I know its the home of the Hart Family, and Superstar Billy Graham trained there. I remember Badger Bob Johnson coached the hockey team and the olympics were there once. Don't think I could find it on a map though.
