Here's tonights lineup. None of the new call ups are in there. I have feeling we ain't going to see much of them this month. They are just here in spirit.

1. Billy Hamilton (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (S) CF
2. Todd Frazier (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) 1B
3. Brandon Phillips (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) 2B
4. Devin Mesoraco (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) C
5. Jay Bruce (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (L) RF

Completely logical.......NOT!

Well I think the logical argument would be that they wan to give the call-ups a day at least to adjust to the surroundings without being thrown into the fire all at once.

You can't not start him it bat him below 4th

Will hurt his feelz

But I'd bat him 7th for a series and then watch him tear it up because his ego is hurting. (Or I'd like to see it tried to see if I'm right lol)

One of my wishes for 2015 is that the Reds' offense is so potent and healthy that Phillips has to hit seventh.

There are zero scenarios outside of him going into Price's office and saying that everyone else is better and it's probably best I bat 7th.

Once you are a Reds proven player.....you never lose any playing time or batting position.

I have noticed that Price knows when one of his players hits well off of a pitcher....but also feel coaches need to go with their gut some.

This early delay can't be good for Norris. To warm up, get a delay, start, throw a few pitches, get a longer delay- all of that can't be good for his odds to last long in this game.

Latos absolutely cares, he is very likely just worn out from being a new parent.

It's absurd to think he would just mail it in because he might get traded, he would still have a new contract to consider.

Cubs swept the Orioles....Reds have little chance at doing that.. My fear as a Reds fan.. Walt and Bob do nothing to help this offense for next year and the Cubs very good young prospects with Adding Bryant, go get free agent starting pitching starting with Lester and they become better than the Reds and the Reds have to face a huge uphill climb to compete with Cardinals/Pirates/Brewers and the new look Cubs.. Doesnt make it feel good thinking the Reds are going backwards..every team has injuries. but to refuse to go get help, really upset me as a fan...Then look at who they called up to expand the roster? Hoover again, ?? Holmberg?? really? they deserve a spot over a Felix Perez??? Gotay?? at least they HIT, which is better than how those guys pitched!! im just venting

Ondrusek in, just in case you thought the Reds may win.

New saying in the tri-state area: You better check yourself, before you Ondrusek yourself.

Thom is stunned that with runners on 1st and 3rd that somebody could ground into a double play. Just stunned.

Right.

If Bruce just wouldn't have hit that GS, they could have lost by 5.

That would be better right?

For what its worth, on MLB Gameday that pitch was about a foot outside.

Any club that is 19-34 in one-run games, a .358 winning percentage, deserves to lose a lot of ball games. Without that one-run record, they are 47-38, a .552 winning percentage.

If Billy could have run back to get Frazier on first, but that's baseball.

After the first inning Latos had, I'm surprised it was only a 1-run game.

And yes, it's still is frustrating. I agree.

Only good out of this is that those hated Pirates lost and won't make the playoffs either. I'll be rooting for whoever plays them the rest of the season. In fact, I'm rooting for all three, Cards, Brewers, and pirates to lose and a short series in the playoffs while listing.

If I had to bet, I would say no. Sadly. I'd like to see them go to .500, but not likely this year.
