It's not everyday you see one team have 9-0 advantage over its opponent when doing side by side comparisons by position. Today might be one of those days.

Bruce is the worst starting RF in baseball according to several measures. Has been for several months now. I'll take Taveras in today's head to head.

The Reds know what the call ups can do. They have had these guys in their system for one or more years.

They were called up for occasional spot duty and to get a taste of the big leagues.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that wrecking the Cardinals bid to win the division would be the brightest spot of the season if the Redlegs can do it.

I have no answers why they aren't hitting him at all. He doesn't look to be doing anything different but it is clear they aren't picking up the ball well.

He's a big guy that looks like he'd throw 95, maybe a slight adjustment to hide the ball a touch and it fools them.

My belief remains....the more relievers you bring in the more likely to find the dud.

Reds bullpen tonight (after Holmberg) was 3 innings allowing 6 hits, 5 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO. ERA of 15.00. Price's stern talk didn't do much good.

That's the first place I'm cleaning house. Reds are near the top in starters innings pitched. Improve the pen and upgrade a couple bats and things shoukd improve.

Mes has had a great season, but Yadier Molina is one of the best in the game. It'd be like comparing Adams and Votto if he were playing.

The Frazier-Carpenter comparison was the only one I thought could go the Reds way.
