Why is Hannahan in the lineup? These games are meaningless against the Brewers now. Oh well, only five more of these left in 2014.

1. Billy Hamilton (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (S) CF
2. Jason Bourgeois (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) LF
3. Todd Frazier (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) 3B
4. Devin Mesoraco (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) C
5. Brandon Phillips (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) 2B
6. Jay Bruce (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (L) RF
7. Jack Hannahan (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (L) 1B
8. Zack Cozart (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) SS
9. Daniel Corcino (http://www.baseballpress.com/lineups#) (R) P

I might be starting to sound like a broken record right now, but I maintain that Bourgeois is getting a trial to be Heisey's replacement as the 4/5 OF.

Wouldn't surprise me. Heisey will probably get close to $2m next season, so he is a strong non-tender candidate.

I've thought that too. It wouldn't surprise me if he is not the Reds 4/5 outfielder next season.

Hannahan with the single. You can't stop Jack you can only hope to contain him!

If you missed the spectacular Hamilton grab, you can see it on www.mlb.com. Just go to the Reds-Brewers game and click on the highlights.

Limited sample size, but Corcino is making it easier to deal a starter over the winter. Reds definitely have some pitching options.

Shades of Eric!

Corcino's minor league stats seem pretty mediocre. Am I missing something?

Brantley was a damn smart and successful pitcher and he knows what he's talking about....but he's not giving Gomez enough credit. He's not just chopped liver up there that swings at everything....

Earlier in the game Thom and Cowboy were speaking of Rickie Weeks and as Thom has done every appearance this year spoke of how well he's handled his demotion and then they spoke how his ankle injury hurt his range which was not good in the first place.

Fast forward to the 7th and Weeks make a tremendously rangy play way over on the SS side to throw out Frazier by plenty. Not sure how many get to that ball and not many would be able to finish the throw.

The Reds are Jack Hannahan from being no-hit through seven. The second half of the season in a nutshell.

I am starting to wonder if this is a one-and-done for Price. Yes, the injuries have hurt the team. But where is the accountability he stressed so much? This team plays a lot of brain-dead baseball IMO.

The "Woo" guy is at the game. Thom is serving as his advocate, supporting his "Woo" and saying that it's a good thing.

Jim Day, well-known doofus in Cincinnati, is apparently virulently anti-Woo according to Thom. Surprising, but in a positive way.

If a pitcher pitched the first seven innings of a game in which his team was leading 1-0, played the eighth inning in left field, and then was brought back in and closed the game out in the ninth with his team still ahead by the 1-0 margin; would he get both the win and the save?

No. The first condition for recording a save is that the pitcher is not the winning pitcher.

Don't want to over react and Bryan has had a lot of bad luck, but this season has left a mark.
I don't care about bunting and I don't care about line up construction but accountability is a big deal. I've had enough of player friendly managers. Maybe this crowd will respond better to someone who will crack the whip.
