Huh.

Ummm...why? He was 0-3. Yes the Reds won...but certainly not due to his influence. And Brandon had been swinging a pretty good stick lately.

When does Byrd get moved down? .283 OPS is a .283 OPS. I get that he's a slow starter (.606 OPS in April the last 3 years) but can we just wait until he can actually hit a ball before hitting 5 or 6 everyday.

Although I guess when 5 of your 8 every day guys have an OPS of .650 or below there isn't a lot you can do.

Has Votto, Cueto, Chapman, Frazier, and Mesoraco been traded yet?

If not, I give up. Guess I'll just have to wait until 2025 for any glimmer of hope for this team.

Iglesias -- who is 10x the pitcher as Marquis -- is wasting his innings in Louisville right now. Why in the world is Iglesias not in the Reds' rotation ahead of Marquis? Makes no sense. It was clear from Iglesias' debut that he was ready to be a No. 5 starter for the Reds (and could be a future star).

Instead, he's in Triple-A and we're left with the Jason Marquis experience. How to blow a 4-run lead in the blink of an eye. Wow. Just atrocious.

No he doesn't have Votto's eye for sure. Few do. I just can't believe it's a physical issue. He should be in his physical prime. I just think he presses, and things tend to snowball for him from there. I think it's why he always seems to have one or two Hall of Fame months a year (last year aside) and is pretty meh otherwise.

Followed it up with another good start in his Louisville debut. Reds can't go wrong either way (with Iggy Iglesias or Lorenzen). The only way they can go wrong is to continue to throw the worthless Marquis out there.

I'm not going to write Iglesias off as someone who can't go more than 5 innings just because in his MLB debut the opposing team (finally) had some success against him the third time through the lineup. The kid is very good. So is Lorenzen. Both of them need to be on the team. One in the rotation, the other in the pen. I really don't care which way they do it, just do it.
