That was just Price being stubborn and making a stupid decision. There was no reason to lose 9 days of retroactive DL time for him to pinch hit with a 4 run lead in the 7th. Mes clearly can't pinch hit effectively right now or else he would've last night, no reason for Mes to be on the roster if he can't PH or catch. Price wanted to prove that Mes was truly available after his rant. He couldn't admit he was wrong and put Mes on the disabled list so now we are stuck with a short bench and his decision costs the team a roster spot. Without that PH, Mes would almost surely be on the DL since he would have 12 days of retroactive time

But here's a guy who spent the off-season analyzing his own swing. He seems far more balanced at the plate, used to stumble all over the place off balance.

I honestly do not get it. One of the very few times when bunting makes sense and Price doesn't do it. Instead, he allows the human double-play machine to do what he does best.

I'm not giving up on him either, but god is he awful right now. And last year wasn't just a bad year, he was probably the worst everyday player in baseball.

This team can't win with him playing like this.
