Seriously, if Rocco is healthy, but not DH'ing in inter league games, not DL'ing him was a huge mistake.

I simply do not understand why it is so difficult for Walt to manage the DL. It's really not difficult. Is it laziness?

The Reds plays the Tigers in mid-June. I wonder if they'll keep Mesoraco off the DL until then so he can not DH in that series too.

Injuries do play a part in it this year, though it doesn't excuse the decisions of Price and Jocketty. But if you told me that Homer would be done for the year after 2 starts and Mesoraco wouldn't catch a game after the first week of April, I would have said 5 games under 500 sounds about right.

I am sorry to hear that for him while at the same time laughing at the complete shock that I am NOT feeling about this.

They should have put him on the DL first to see if he could get through this. This weird roster management has been going ion since April 2013 when Ludwick went on the DL. Yet no one in the media asks why the inertia..... are they just out of money to even make those moves or does Bob think they will lose ticket sales?

The clown show continues en masse. Reds keep Mesoraco around this long so he can DH (when it was clear he should have been on the DL all along) ... and this is two straight days he can't DH. High comedy.

I'm going to see Mad Max right after this movie!

It's a day night double header!

I might go see 'Pitch Perfect 2' just for the heck of it. Oh, the irony

Cingrani needs regular work. He's lost his fire.

Maybe he needs to bat in a different spot in the lineup.

Stacking the lineup with lefties was a smart move. Watching Kluber pitch it was obvious how hard he was on righties, even tho Phillips had another solid game. The problem is the lefties we have to plug into our lineup are Skip Schumaker and Brennan Boesch lol.

Price deserves a lot of blame for a lot of different stuff, but I appreciate him shaking up the order and trying different things. We just need people to play better or we need better players. Mixing and matching is fun and all, but it isn't scoring us runs.

It just really doesn't look very likely that Billy Havoc is gonna have a long career as as starter.

Silver Lining to a tight, low scoring loss: Desclafani has Kluber like potential. 3 good pitches. Consistency = repetition and experience.

Love what I've seen from Disco. In time he'll pound the strike zone more but I'm okay with dealing with his occasional struggles for now. He deserved better today.

That changeup is going to be killer against lefties.

Congratulations to you Roy! We are celebrating #26 this weekend, can you imagine any woman putting up with me for 26 years?
She asked me last night if the Reds were winning/won, whatever (this was around 11:30), and I had no clue for the 1st time in about 55+ years...

playing the long game for draft position?

I'm old -- time's a wasting
Same here. I don't have time to rebuild. I imagine I'll never see another contending team as long as they follow this philosophy. Maybe it's time to go into "lost decade" mode?

To the old people complaining about running out of time with the Reds:

You were able to enjoy the Big Red Machine. Us millenials have nothing. I had just turned 7 in 1990, I guess.
