Fay tweeted that Phillips was available for pinch hitting today. He said he was gingerly (Mary Anne if you prefer) taking ground balls earlier today. So we may see him back in the lineup soon.

Really hoping this isn't a small sample size special from De Jesus.
Unlike Negron he has actually been a good hitter throughout his minor league career. I don't expect him to keep hitting like this obviously but it is possible all he needed was an opportunity.

Cheap shot. Mike knows his baseball. Why would he care about the Reds? In any event he wants Mets to target Prado. Makes sense. marlins are ready to pack it in. Prado is versatile, can play in New York, and wouldn't cost the Mets one of their studs.

I love what I see out of Suarez. Even when he fouls the ball off, he hits some hard shots. Solid defensively too.

It was due to the fact rizzo gave his bat to a kid when he only asked for an autograph, game used, And was speaking to a load of other kids. Rizzo does seem like one of the good guys.
