It sounds funny but Pena should be the leadoff hitter. He has the second highest OBP on the team and absolutely zero slugging power. Not a lot of speed obviously but it's not like Votto behind him would be a speedster either.

Reds closer Aroldis Chapman pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to give him his 23rd consecutive scoreless appearance against the Cardinals. St. Louis hasn't scored off Chapman since Sept. 2, 2011. It was also Chapman's 56th consecutive converted save opportunity at Great American Ball Park. His last blown save at home came on Sept. 7, 2012, against the Astros.

Man, that's almost 3 years ago and I yet I still remember it more vividly than most of Chappy's saves. It was Matt Dominguez crushing a fastball.

I remember that, too and still can't figure out why I get nervous when he comes into games. Only thing I can figure out is that I am an idiot. Many may agree.

Just listened to an interview that Bill Cunningham had with Walt and the GM said that no one wanted to seriously discuss a trade for Chapman. In other words, all that talk was just that--talk by the media. Leads me to believe Adrolis will be with us past next year...

He was over 90 pitches is my guess. I went to bed after they took him out. I was afraid the rest of the game wouldn't go well with the bullpen.
