I never doubted that he was right about Jumbo's strikeout ability, but while it is likely the decreasing HR rate is his luck evening out, I think sending him down to Louisville was good for his confidence and may have helped him learn how to limit the meatballs. RMR's argument was that it made no sense at all to send Jumbo to Louisville, and in that regard I think he was wrong. He was struggling and he had options, sending him down made perfect sense.

(Honorable mention to Eugenio Suarez, whose two-run homer snapped a 30-inning team scoreless streak. But the Old Lefthander would definitely go with a young pitcher who picked up his first victory!)
